"Actions For The Day - 1. Sign up for Squidoo using the traditional method and create a lens using your main keyword phrase. 2. Edit your Squidoo lens to include the Guestbook and RSS modules. 3. Edit your text module to include a unique piece of content you have written (including anchor text URLs). 4. Publish and view your finished Squidoo lens, then check all of the links to make sure they are correctly pointing to your site."
Web 2.0 is a crucial part of our business. And squidoo is a one part of the "link juice" process. Today's Michelle MacPhearson show us how to setup an account and create our first lens into Squidoo platform.
Signing up process is very easy. But for creating a brand new account skip the facebook connect feature and create as usual account with theme-keyword rich name.
Creating a Squidoo page is a little bit a same like creating an articlem, but with some features like Amazon, Youtube, etc modules.
And great advice do not try all lenses the same. What you watched on the video is just an example. Like if you have not any Amazon realted products into your marketplace, it'll be a good idea to do not put Amazon module.
Another thing don't forget to put backlinks into you Squidoo lens, and another tip add one or more pictures to you text moduel. It'll make you lense more live. And do not forget to add RSS of your WordPress blog to one of Squidoo lens modules. Conclusion is just try to play with some modules at first, activate them all and check functionality of everyones, then delete useless.
One more tip is an upload an image to your Squidoo lens, and add a link back to your site. It'll give you some authority as well.
